NSA is committed to continuing professional education for today’s accounting and tax professional. NSA offers a variety of group live professional development opportunities, which include workshops and seminars. Self-study professional development opportunities are also available.  Most group live and self study courses offered are basic to intermediate course levels, which require no prerequisites or advanced preparation. NSA is approved as an official provider of continuing professional education (CPE) by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the
 Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation (ACAT), and the California Tax Education Council (CTEC).

ABA Cram Course & Exam
The ABA is a prestigious credential for practitioners who specialize in the needs of small-to-mid-size businesses and in financial services to individuals and families. If Main Street is Your Market, This is Your Credential. Sign up and you'll receive a CD containing the ABA Prep Course Manual, that covers   all five aspects of the 200-question exam: Accounting, Business Consulting, Business Law, Ethics, and Taxation. Plus, you'll also get a study guide to steer your studies by providing step-by-step, week-by-week directions for study and review. A month before the exam, you'll receive a preview test you can take to gauge your readiness and identify weak areas. Onsite in Kansas City, you'll have two full days with skilled facilitators who will give you strategies for answering questions and time-tested hints.  The ABA Cram Course on August 25-26 is a comprehensive program designed to fully prepare you with the knowledge and test-taking skills to pass the ABA test. The 7½ -hour test will be administered on August 27. The fee for the test is included in your registration.

IRS Nationwide Tax Forums

The IRS Nationwide Tax Forums offer three full days of seminars with the latest word from the IRS leadership and experts in the fields of tax law, compliance and ethics. Attendees can earn up to 18 continuing professional education (CPE) credits, learn about the latest IRS e-Services products and schedule a visit to the Practitioner Case Resolution Room. The forums also feature a two-day expo with representatives from the IRS, business, finance and tax software companies offering their products, services and expertise. NSA is a continuing IRS forum partner, and NSA members receive a discount on the registration fee.
