The NSA Scholarship Foundation awards an average of 40 scholarships per year in the amount of approximately $1,000 each for accounting students entering their third or fourth year of studies, and approximately $500 each to students entering their second year of studies.

Who Can Apply?
■ Only undergraduate students. High school students are not eligible.
■ Students majoring in accounting with a "B" or better average.
■ Students enrolled in a degree program at an accredited two- or four-year business school, college or university.
■ Only U.S. or Canadian citizens attending an accredited U.S. business school, college or university.

When to Apply?
If committed to a major in accounting throughout the remainder of their college career:
■ Students in an accredited two-year college may apply during their first year or during their second year if transferring to a four-year institution.
■ Students in an accredited four-year college may apply for their second, third, or fourth year of studies.

How to Apply?
In order to receive consideration, applications must be:
■ Accompanied by official transcripts bearing the official seal or registrar signature from the issuing institution from each college attended. Official transcripts may be submitted by the student with the application or submitted directly to the Foundation by the issuing institution. Students applying during their first year of college must submit high school transcripts of GED scores in addition to official college transcripts.
■ Accompanied by a completed appraisal form which can be submitted by the student or the issuing professor.
■ Submitted with all necessary documentation (official transcripts, appraisal forms) to be received in original form no later than the March 10th deadline of each year. Students may submit the application by e-mail, but faxes or e-mails of transcripts or appraisals will not be accepted.

How Recipients Are Selected?
■ Scholarships are awarded primarily for academic attainment, demonstrated leadership ability, and financial need.
■ Qualifying candidates submitting a completed application packet will be notified of the Trustee’s decision by mail in July.
■ Payment for scholarships will be made directly by the Foundation to the college or university in late August for the student’s account for the upcoming academic year.
